Adult Education

SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASS is held every Sunday at 8:45–9:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary and is led by the pastors in the study of various topics.

MIDWEEK BIBLE CLASS is led by the pastors on select books of the Bible on Wednesdays at 10:00-11:00 a.m., at Gateway Community (located on Hwy T off Hwy. 33), and is again held in the church fellowship hall on Thursday mornings at 10:00–11:00 a.m.

BIBLE BOOK GROUP is led by a facilitator and regularly uses “The People’s Bible” commentary and study guide to explore a book of the Bible. This group meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the church library. All groups welcome anyone at any time.

OAK PARK ADULT CHRIST-LIGHT BIBLE CLASS is a small discussion group about the Bible’s factual events and what they mean to us today. It is led by a facilitator at Oak Place Place (Waldo Street), on on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.

BIBLE INSTRUCTION COURSE (BIC) meets most Wednesdays at 6:30–7:45 p.m. These lessons explore the essentials of the Christian faith and lifestyle. The course is designed for anyone interested in joining St. John’s as a communicant member. It is also a good refresher for longtime Christians and a great starting place for those who are curious about the Christian faith and want to know more about our church teachings. The class is held by the pastor in his office. Classes by appointment are also available.
